It's crazy how much can change in the course of just one year! Last year during Easter weekend, my mom flew with me to Colorado to help plan my wedding.
Wedding planning - April 2014 |
This Easter, she drove up with my dad to Houston instead to help me prep the nursery for our baby girl!
Because our daughter will be born just a few weeks after our first anniversary, I was inspired to use our wedding's soft yellow and gray color scheme and chevron theme for her nursery.
So we spent Good Friday shopping for decor with similar tones that we could use for the baby's room.
Then it was hands-on all day Saturday as we cleaned, assembled, built and set up her nursery. We started with the easiest part --- wall decorations.
Then came the most time-consuming project...assembling her dresser.
It was probably a good six hours of grueling work but at the end of the day, we were very pleased with the results.
These decals were so easy to put on the wall and brought a lot of color into the room.
Moving forward, I'll be looking at other ways to incorporate more of our wedding theme into her nursery, but for now, I'd like to hear from you.
What inspired the theme for your baby's nursery?
